Krystle’s Brick Shop in Rolling Oaks Mall
The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its third in-person Community Meeting (CM) of 2026 on 29 March 2026. 12 Group Members attended our Community Meeting at Krystle’s Brick Shop in the Rolling Oaks Mall. Topics discussed were the Ambassador reaffirmed the process to recommend new Members for the Group due to continuing spam attempts on our Google Group Alias; High School sponsored Car Show is on 21 March from 0800 - 1500, it looks like 7 Members will be contributing cars, trucks and minifigures to the show; the Spring Train Show at the New Braunfels Civic Center in April. Additionally, the Ambassador confirmed the public library in Schertz is interested in partnering with us to share LEGO creations and building techniques in the near future. The President of Brick Rodeo updated the Group with the latest planning for the convention later this year and stated that there are plenty of volunteer openings needed to support the event. The San Antonio LUG has volunteered to build the trophies for the upcoming convention and a date to accomplish those builds is in the works. The Group welcomed a potential new Member to the Community Meeting who recently moved teacher assignments and would like to get more involved with the hobby supporting the STEM or STEAM aspects of LEGO® bricks.

Our favorite part of the Community Meeting for this month was getting together and complementing a few Member’s creations, plus the sharing of the latest purchases, creations and builds as we go “Around the LUG” near the end of the Community Meeting. An added bonus was welcoming a new Member and having them tell us about themselves and recent builds with LEGO® bricks.
