Summary

The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its third virtual Community Meeting (CM) of 2025 on 30 March 2025. 19 Group Members attended our virtual CM via Skype from their homes with minor connection issues. Attendance at the virtual session was awesome! This will be the last virtual TexLUG-SA Community Meeting held on Skype. Microsoft announced they are shutting down the application in May 2025. Topics discussed were from the LAN: the LEGO Quality Insights, Analytics & Enabling team asked for participation in their Quality Perception Survey, Content Creation on social media, LEGO Minifigure Factory; now featuring exclusive Lord of the Rings torso designs, and Project Support 2025 starts 1 April 2025 then we moved to LUG specific activities or events - display at Krystle’s Brick Shop created and looks awesome!, Star Wars display at local Bricks and Minifigs - Bulverde, looks awesome and ferocious battle taking place daily in their Store, the New Braunfels Railroad Museum hosted Spring Train Show is 12-13 April 2025, with Setup on Friday 11 April 2025, we will be having a social gathering after the change out of the display at Krystle’s Brick Shop on 10 May 2025, a short discussion on meeting in person for the May Monthly Community Meeting, location TBD, a potential STEM event at local library in early stages and reminder about passes for Brick Rodeo 2025 that kicks off in early July. Our favorite part of the virtual Community Meeting is the sharing of the latest creations and builds as we go “Around the LUG” near the end of the Community Meeting.

What We Enjoyed Most

Members enjoyed getting together and seeing everyone, even though it is virtual, since not everyone can do all the events or activities to see each other in person. Members enjoyed sharing their latest builds from their collections, what has been happening in their lives and their personal LEGO® themed interests, as we went “Around the LUG!” to share the presiding with a new Member that has joined the Group. It was nice to see and hear their love and the LEGO® brick and what they are interested in building with the brick.
