The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its seventh virtual Community Meeting (CM) of 2024 on 28 July 2024. 17 Group Members and 1 new Member joined us after meeting several Members at Brick Rodeo 2024 in Austin, Texas for our virtual CM via Skype from their homes. Attendance is still strong at our meetings online; however, Members are interested in getting back together in person. Topics discussed were from the LAN: 1HY2024 Review of additions to RLFMs, RLUGs and RLOCs, and Women Members in LUGs, future displays at our local LEGO® Resellers, and wrap up of Brick Rodeo 2024. Last, but not least there is a request for our Group to build a LEGO® Diorama of Subhani Family Clubhouse for the Grand Opening Event in Harker Heights, Texas later this year, no further input from requester. Convened the dates for Brick Rodeo 2025 - 3-6 July 2024 in Sugar Land, Texas. Our Project Support 2024 request was approved. Our Draft Party is set for 17 August at Robert’s LEGO Lair from 1400 - 1500. The favorite part of the virtual Community Meeting is the sharing of the latest creations and builds as we go “Around the LUG”, this time introducing each Member’s interest in themes and welcoming new Members near the end of the Community Meeting.

Members enjoyed sharing their latest creations and their LEGO® themed interests, as well as, commenting on their first attendance at the in-state run Fan based LEGO® Convention - Brick Rodeo 2024 in Austin, Texas as we went “Around the LUG!”. Members welcomed and enjoyed hearing from the new Member and his experience at Brick Rodeo as well!
