Online via Skype Video Application
The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its second virtual Community Meeting of 2024 on 25 February 2024. 20 Group Members and 2 New Guests interested in becoming Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. Topics discussed were the Spring Display at Krystle’s Brick Shop and interaction with customers where the display was set up; the proposed Pirates display at Bricks and Minifigs - Bulverde next month; and a brief discussion on a future display called “Rabbitron”. Further discussed the upcoming Events that include themed based displays, Medio Creek Middle School Car Show, Brickfest Live!, New Braunfels Railroad Museum Spring Train Show and potential Lone Star Division Train Collectors Association Spring Train Meet later in May. The favorite part of the virtual Community Meeting is the sharing of the latest creations and builds as we go “Around the LUG”, this time everyone introduced themselves and their LEGO® themes for the new Members until it was their turn to accomplish the same. An excellent online gathering of AFOLs in the San Antonio area!

This monthly virtual Community Meeting achieves one of our goals to keep in touch and plan events and activities soon and stay connected through use of technology. The virtual meeting paid off this month as 2 potential new members joined our Group during the live session and expressed an interest in joining regularly. During the “Around the LUG” portion, Members showed off their LEGO® builds and creations, sometimes it is just that they plan to build a recently acquired set.
