Summary

The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its ninth virtual Community Meeting of 2022 on 25 September 2022. 10 Group Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. Attendance virtually was down this month as many Members were busy with their busy lives outside of the Group. The Group discussed a variety of topics to include, latest subjects of interest from the LAN or Internet, a brief update on the Group’s Statue of Liberty Project, short discussion on replacing the current MOC displayed at Krystle’s Brick Shop, a report of attendance at Bricks Killeen 2022, preliminary coordination of display for upcoming NBRR Museum hosted Fall Train Show with theme of Fall and Halloween, announcement of TexLUG-SA Social to be held at a new Member’s LEGO® Lair plus TexLUG-Austin and TBRR announced that they were holding their annual Holiday Party on 11 December 2022. We briefly discussed in person meetings again, but the consensus is to continue with virtual meetings for now. Another new Member introduced himself and the rest of the Group did the same, sharing interests in which LEGO® themes they enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed hearing about and seeing Members latest creations and catching up as 2022 continues.

What We Enjoyed Most

Our Virtual Community Meeting continues to fill the void of seeing each other personally and keeping the Group connected. Virtually allows Members to save gas, a very real thing now and save time by having a Community Meeting online and still accomplish subjects of interest to the Group. Members are encouraging each other to attend and actively participate at the virtual community meeting since we continue to put physical community meetings on hold, participation continues to be strong at virtual community meetings, although a few Members were noticeably missing from this month’s Meeting. Members continue to show the rest of the Group their LEGO® builds while working from home or slowly returning to their workplaces physically via these online Skype Virtual Community Meetings.
