The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its sixth virtual Community Meeting of 2022 on 26 June 2022. 11 Group Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. Attendance virtually is steady and a few new Members have joined over the past few months! The Group discussed a variety of topics to include, latest subjects of interest from the LAN or Internet, Members discussed that they would be attending Brick Rodeo 2022 next weekend, and how some Members are communicating with The LEGO® Group directly, a brief update on the Group’s Statue of Liberty Project plus preparing it for submission, short discussion on replacing the current MOC displayed at Krystle’s Brick Shop and the possibility of attending Bricks Killeen as a Group. A brief report was given on virtually attending LEGO® CON 2022. We documented that LEGO® World Play Day is 10 August 2022. We briefly discussed in person meetings again, but the consensus is to continue with virtual meetings for now. Another new Member introduced himself and the rest of the Group did the same, sharing interests in which LEGO® themes they enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed hearing about and seeing Members latest creations and catching up as 2022 continues.

Our Virtual Community Meeting is filling the void of seeing each other personally and keeping the Group connected. Virtually allows Members to save gas, a very real thing now and save time by having a Community Meeting online and still accomplish subjects of interest to the Group. Last visit to the LEGO® Store, masks were not being worn by either customers or employees, but still a limit of the number of folks in the local LEGO® Store was in effect. Members are encouraging each other to attend and actively participate at the virtual community meetings since we continue to put physical community meetings on hold, and participation continues to be strong at virtual community meetings. Members continue to show the rest of the Group their LEGO® builds while working from home or slowing returning to their workplaces physically via these online Skype Virtual Community Meetings.
