Online via Skype Video Application
The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its first virtual Community Meeting of 2022 on 30 January 2022. 16 Group Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. Attendance was great! Everyone is excited about the new year and what it may bring, hopefully, a virus in remission. The Group discussed a variety of topics to include, latest subjects of interest from the LAN, the results of the Annual LAN Survey and RLUG Report 2021 from The LEGO® Group and some discussion by other Ambassadors, another revisit of local reseller of LEGO® was discussed again and announcement that SAMRA was holding their annual Model Railroad Jamboree this year again from 26-27 February 2022. We went around the Skype Session virtually and Members shared their latest LEGO® creations or builds over the past month, and other general subjects associated with the love of the LEGO® brick within the Group. Everyone enjoyed hearing about and seeing Members latest creations and catching up as 2022 begins.

Our Virtual Community Meeting is filling the void of seeing each other personally and keeping the Group motivated during these continued trying times with the continuing rise of cases of the new Omicron Variant of the COVID-19 virus and the continued effects of the Delta Variant of the COVID-19 virus in the local area. Masks, social distancing and limit of the number of folks in the local LEGO® Store are still in effect, it is still recommended that individuals wear a mask when indoors throughout the greater San Antonio, Texas area. Members are encouraging each other to attend and actively participate at the virtual community meetings since we continue to put physical community meetings on hold, participation continues to be strong at virtual community meetings. Members continue to show the rest of the Group their LEGO® builds while working from home via these online Skype Virtual Community Meetings.
