Online via Skype Video Application
The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its seventh virtual Community Meeting of 2021 on 26 September 2021. 15 Group Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. Attendance at virtual meetings has been outstanding compared to in person at our local Mall Food Court, so for now we are continuing to meet virtually. 2 Members accepted the “8 Wide MOC Building” Build Challenge. Well done, Mark W and Chris M, we look forward to seeing those MOCs displayed at the upcoming Fall Train Show in New Braunfels. One Member attended Bricks Killeen on Saturday, 18 September 2021. Members are planning their MOCs for the Fall Train Show in October 2021 at the New Braunfels Railroad Museum hosted show. We announced that the “Haunted Train Car Competition” would be held at the Fall Train Show as well. We went around the Skype Session virtually and Members shared their latest creations or builds during the past month and other general subjects associated with the love of the LEGO® brick within the Group. Everyone enjoyed hearing about and seeing Members’ latest creations.

Our virtual Community Meeting is filling the void of seeing each other personally and keeping the Group motivated during these continued trying times with the surge of the new Delta Variant of the COVID-19 virus. The State of Texas has relaxed all mandates associated with masks and social distancing, especially for those that are fully vaccinated, except encouraging individual choice when it comes to wearing a mask indoors. Members are looking forward to our second in person event at the New Braunfels Fall Train Show this October. Members are encouraging each other to attend and actively participate at the virtual meeting since we continue to put physical meetings on hold, and participation continues to be strong at virtual meetings. Members continue to show the rest of the Group their builds while still working from home via these online Skype Virtual Meetings.
