Online via Skype Video Application
The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its sixth virtual Community Meeting on 27 September 2020. 12 Group Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. We talked about how the virus is not going away anytime soon, so we are going to continue to meet virtually. It turns out the local manager made it happen and we had a great turnout, thanks to LEGO® for continuing this activity. Several Members discussed their participation in the virtual LEGO® House Fan Day. I covered that another LAN NPS Survey had opened and I was going to respond before the deadline. Members talked about their participation in the Virtual Make Faire SA 2020 and some of the issues with accessing videos during the start of the Event. Everyone liked the video Chris MacDougald created about our Group and his involvement with the hobby. We went around the Skype Session virtually and Members shared their recent builds or used their time to tell of other adventures during their time spent at home or at work. COVID-19 cases are on a decline in the greater San Antonio area in Texas, however, still not going away, we are still going to continue virtual meetings once a month vice our regularly scheduled twice a month in person meetings. Our Group looks forward to sharing our love of the LEGO® brick element with the public, hopefully next year we can get back together in person.

A virtual meeting attempting to keep the Group motivated during these trying times with the coronavirus pandemic hitting San Antonio, Texas and surrounding areas hard. Members are encouraged and still participate even though we are meeting virtually with not much to do about future planning of events, however, talking and showing their builds while isolated or working at home. Potential “door prizes” might be motivating some Members of the Group to participate.
