The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its fourth virtual Community Meeting on 26 July 2020. 13 Group Members participated virtually via Skype from their homes. Once again we talked about how we are missing the events that have been postponed or cancelled due to the worldwide Corona-virus pandemic. The Group briefly discussed the Virtual Brick Fiesta 2020 sessions that happened on 25 July 2020 and were reminded that a few were occurring while we were meeting. Seemed not very many Members attended the virtual event. I thanked the previous two Ambassadors for their input on the latest NPS LAN Survey. Several Members discussed their participation in the virtual LEGO® House Tours. One Member continues to donate feverishly to the Group his “excess” brick elements. Another Member is the go between and she is sorting the brick elements for future in person meetings events. Christopher MacDougald volunteered to represent the Group virtually at the Virtual Maker Faire San Antonio later this year in September 2020. He is required to make a video and present during the event on a YouTube Channel. We went around the area virtually and Members shared their recent builds or used their time to tell of other adventures during their time spent at home or at work. Events traditional scheduled for August and beyond in person are either cancelled or still undecided due to the worldwide pandemic. With the rapid rise in COVID-19 Cases in the greater San Antonio area in Texas, we are still going to be meeting through virtual meetings once a month vice our regularly scheduled twice a month in person meetings. Our Group looks forward to sharing our love of the LEGO® brick element with the public, hopefully later this year and getting back together in person.

A virtual meeting attempting to keep the Group motivated during these trying times with the coronavirus pandemic hitting the San Antonio area hard. Members are encouraged and still participate even though we are meeting virtually with no much to do about future planning of events, however, talking and showing their builds while isolated or working at home.
