The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) held its third virtual Community Meeting on 28 June 2020. 17 Group Members participated from their homes. Once again we talked about events that were postponed or cancelled due to the worldwide Corona-virus pandemic. We discussed internal Group business related to a new trailer and how we might increase membership during this trying time. A reminder was mentioned about Virtual Brick Fiesta 2020 happening on 25-26 July 2020 for those AFOLs that preregistered for Brick Fiesta 2020 and if you were not planning on attending a small fee of USD$5.00 for those that would like to join in on the virtual fun that weekend. I discussed gathering input for the latest NPS LAN Survey since I was not the only Ambassador of the Group. Several Members discussed their participation in the virtual LEGO® House Tours. One Member has been donating feverishly to the Group his “excess” brick elements. We had a moment of silence for the loss of a Member’s Step Father who passed away from Stage 4 Cancer and complications with the COVID-19 Virus. A local toy store is having a “sale” on older LEGO® sets. A few Members shared their recent builds or used their time to tell of other adventures during their time spent at home. Events traditionally scheduled for August and beyond are still undecided due to the worldwide pandemic. With the recent rapid rise in COVID-19 Cases in the greater San Antonio area in Texas, we are still going to be meeting through virtual meetings once a month vice our regularly scheduled twice a month in person meetings. Our Group looks forward to sharing our love of the LEGO® brick element with the public, hopefully later this year and getting back together in person.
