Summary

14 Members of our Group participated in the New Braunfels Museum hosted Spring Train Show across two Show days and one setup day on Friday. We had lots of our folks engaged with Show participants. Attendance was steady for a Spring Train Show and the construction from last year has been completed thus more folks showed up to see the trains and buy some train stuff. The folks asked lots of LEGO® based questions plus made comments on some of our more unique LEGO® creations on display. A hit each time it is displayed is the Red, White and Blue Lady Liberty with Authentic Base. Her display contains over 11,000 LEGO® bricks and she stands 4 and 1/2 feet tall and weighs 45 pounds. A LEGO® Jurassic Park/World MOC was created in one of our corner tables by a few Members plus a Narrow-Gauge Train plus brick elements created to look like the San Antonio Botanical Gardens in another corner table. The display contained 7 LEGO® Modular Buildings, 5 MOC Modulars Style Buildings and several other LEGO® themed MOCs. Several young kids noticed the LEGO® Dragons around the display and made a point to tell their parents about them as they walked around the layout. The young kids were really excited and began counting the superheroes and villains displayed in the LEGO® Marvel Universe MOC created by our Young Adult Member, in the last corner table, well done! And last but not least, are the LEGO® Trains that run all around our LEGO® City display located on multiple tables within the entire exhibit area of 18 feet x 18 feet (smaller than past years due to conflict with NBRR Museum in space allocation). Thanks to all that contributed their LEGO® Brick MOCs, Sets, Trains and Vehicles that made the display possible for the weekend! Setup for the Event is on Friday afternoon for roughly 7 hours and the Event runs for 2 days, 7 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday.
