Autism Speaks Walk 2023

Event Summary

Summary

The response heard most of the morning about the LEGO® Marvel™ themed display was related to the excitement on the different minifigures placed throughout the table top display from the younger audience, which is due to our younger Member’s age and his love of creating Marvel™ themed scenes. The mother and son team enjoyed interacting with the public and sharing their love of LEGO®. The older audience was impressed with the different buildings and trees put together in the display. Our planner for the event learned the art of communications is trying at best and displaying outdoors in moderate windy conditions is not conducive for a LEGO® display. The Daily Bugle is not designed to withstand what might be considered hurricane force winds in a “LEGO® city”, it toppled off the table and will be rebuilt in the coming months. Parents were delighted that the sponsor provided LEGO® bricks for the kids to build their own creations after seeing the display and having a desire to touch the only look creations.
