Krystle’s Brick Shop at Rolling Oaks Mall, San Antonio, Texas 78247
The Texas LEGO® User Group - San Antonio (TexLUG-SA) collaborated on a Winter Village Display created by 6 Members contributing various MOCs and LEGO® Winter Themed Sets arranged in one of the windows of Krystle’s Brick Shop located at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, Texas. The day was gloomy as the Group Member present boarded the train for Legoshun Junction. We greeted each other with a heartfelt welcome and chatted cheerily nonetheless. As the leader of the Group stepped off the Holiday Train, he heard the sounds of chatter and laughter not far away. Heading in the direction of the noise he soon spotted the frozen pond and ice skaters built by Member Robert. It was a beautiful site covered in transparent blue tiles. After a while watching the festivities the Leader left to go exploring the town. Snow covered the ground (provided by Group Members Jerry and Chris Mac) as far as one could see. The lights inside of the snow covered Church MOC (created by Group Member Jim N) lit the path nearby. Transparent blue stars twinkled in the moonlight. It was as if someone (Group Member Mary, actually) had generously tossed them all about. Soon after, the smell of roasted cinnamon pecans was in the air. The aroma was coming from a trolley that had been repurposed as a kiosk by Group Member Mark W. Everyone couldn’t help but purchase a bag of these tasty morsels. Members continued through the town square which included Santa’s Workshop, a Toy Shop, The Winter Village Cottage, Fire Station, and Winter Village Market courtesy of Group Member Gil V.
