19 Members of our Group participated in the fourth physical Event since the worldwide pandemic hit the USA in March of 2020. This Event seemed like we were back to normal, except there were a few folks wearing masks while attending or participating in the Show. We had lots of our folks engaged with Show participants and a few TBRR Members stopped by the display. Attendance was steady for a Fall Train Show competing with a Day of the Dead Festival also in the same area. The folks asked lots of LEGO® based questions plus made comments on some of our more unique LEGO® creations on display. A hit each time it is displayed is the Red, White and Blue Lady Liberty with Authentic Base. Her display contains over 11,000 LEGO® bricks and she stands 4 and 1/2 feet tall and weighs 45 pounds. With a Fall and Halloween theme, the “Boo Box” MOC was a definite popular view as it opened and closed with a spooky hand coming out of the box. A cemetery complete with zombies was available for viewing. Two MOC pumpkins with lighted eyes greeted small visitors near the cemetery. The motorized LEGO® Haunted House terrified the minifigures visiting its top floors. Several young kids noticed the LEGO® Dragons around the display and made a point to tell their parents about them as they walked around the layout. The young kids were really excited and began counting the superheroes and villains displayed in the spooky LEGO® Marvel Universe MOC created by our Teen Member, well done! And last but not least, are the LEGO® Trains and Monorail that run all around our LEGO® City display located on multiple tables within the entire exhibit area of 20 feet x 36 feet. A lake was added to the layout to display the new LEGO® Lighthouse with working spotlight, the LEGO® Old Fishing Store and all the creatures that swim in the lake. Thanks to all that contributed their LEGO® Brick MOCs, Sets, Trains and Vehicles that made the display possible for the weekend! Setup for the Event is on Friday afternoon for roughly 7 hours and the Event runs 2 days, 7 hours on Saturday and 6 hours on Sunday. The NBRR Museum planners were extremely pleased with the attendance at the Event.
